SPRING is here, and with that usually means longer days, vibrant blossoms, pastel eggs, and a little college basketball madness!

Spring also marks the beginning of the notoriously busy home-buying and selling season. With buyers being much more active during this time of year, this has always been THE best time of the year to sell your home!

Here are a few tips to get your home prepped and ready, so that your home stands out in a crowded market!

  1. Improve Your Homes Curb Appeal Prospective buyers decide the moment they arrive at the front of your home whether or not they will buy it. Make sure there are no dead trees or shrubs in the yard and remove any leaves or debris from the yard and gutters. Trim bushes and trees if necessary to give it a tidy and well-manicured look. Give your yard some life with a variety of greenery and fresh spring flowers. Don’t forget the mulch! Mulch can be a seller’s best friend. There is truly something to be said about the contrast between black mulch and bright green foliage. Giving your homes exterior and trim a fresh coat of paint is always a good idea before you list your home.
  1. Complete Your “To Do” List Make a list of little fix it items that you don’t usually get to right away. Make sure small holes are patched, all out of reach light bulbs are changed, all electrical outlets and plumbing fixtures are functional, as well as appliances. Most of the time sellers may not even be aware of issues that need attention. We recommend a full home inspection before you list your home to get in front of these items before a buyer does. Trust us, you will be glad you did!
